Beyond the Baby Blues

UNDERSTANDING PPD

Beyond the Baby Blues

Up to 80% of women experience the "baby blues"—a few weeks of tearfulness caused by the massive drop in estrogen and progesterone after birth. However, if severe sadness, anxiety, or feelings of worthlessness persist beyond two weeks, it may be Postpartum Depression (PPD).

PPD is a very real, very common medical complication of childbirth. It is not a flaw in character, a sign of weakness, or an indication that you are a bad mother. It is a biochemical event requiring clinical support.

A Path to Healing

INTERVENTION

A Path to Healing

The worst thing a mother can do is suffer in silence due to guilt. Management begins with radical honesty. Our clinical psychologists utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to help reframe intrusive thoughts and overwhelming anxiety.

In severe cases, safe, lactation-compatible medications are prescribed. Equally important is prioritizing maternal sleep, ensuring adequate nutrition (to combat postpartum depletion), and heavily utilizing the partner and extended family for infant care.

Frequently Asked Questions

Get quick answers to common queries about conscious parenting, our treatments, and the 1100 days concept.

What is the 1100 Days Concept?
The 1100 Days refers to the critical window spanning from preconception (about 3 months before pregnancy), the 9 months of pregnancy (270 days), and the first two years of a child's life (730 days). This period is globally recognized as the most crucial time for brain development and long-term health.
What is Garbh Sanskar and how does it help?
Garbh Sanskar is an ancient Indian science of nurturing the unborn child. It involves a holistic approach including right diet, positive thinking, music, and meditation. Modern science confirms that babies can learn, feel, and listen inside the womb, making prenatal stimulation highly effective for brain wiring.
Do you provide online consultations?
Yes! We offer online pediatric consultations across India, as well as online Garbh Sanskar classes and prenatal parenting workshops for global accessibility.
What makes Vardaan 1100 Days different from a regular clinic?
Unlike regular clinics that focus solely on medical treatments after a problem arises, we blend modern medicine (Gynecology, Fetal Medicine, PICU) with proactive, conscious parenting education (Garbh Sanskar). We treat you holistically before, during, and after birth.
